For her Christmas gift, a friend has asked me to write "a Marluxia/Vexen story that actually makes sense." I asked for a challenge, and I guess I'm getting one.

Thanks! I can't guarantee I'll post it since I sometimes keep gift exchanges private, but this friend probably won't mind if I share. Honestly, I don't have an issue with the pairing in theory. I'm just not a fan of how the fandom generally portrays it.

Wow, that's a tough one. XD I guess the main thing is to ask yourself just how far Marluxia's willing to go to either convince someone he isn't at traitor or win them over to his side?

Definitely considering that! I am having issues picturing them in anything resembling a healthy relationship, though. The finished story is probably going to involve a lot of manipulation on both sides. There's a happy medium somewhere between the "Fluffy 4/11 Snuggletime Adventures" and "Broken Bird Vexen Squeaks at Marluxia the Omnirapist" stories this fandom seems to love so much.
