Meringues are one of those things that I always find really intimidating when I read the recipe, but when it actually comes to making them they end up being relatively easy. They also always look so impressive, so it makes me feel like a more accomplished baker than I actually am!

One tip I can give you, if you're interested, is that, you can make striped meringues if you use a piping bag (or, like me, a baggie with a corner cut off), by painting the interior sides with stripes in the food color/color gel that you're using before piping them onto the tray.
